Support Local Business Campaign

Overview

StonehamBank was intent on continuing their pop-up events during the pandemic, so they made a shift and began hosting them virtually. The bank wanted to find a creative way to help people beat pandemic fatigue with a new “stay at home” event idea. By working with renowned author and historian Dr. Rocky Ruggiero, and Tuscan Kitchen, the bank coordinated a Zoom tour of Tuscany, led by Dr. Ruggiero. Using mainly Dr. Ruggiero’s own photos and videos, the lecture explored the great history, art, and general lore of various Tuscan cities—virtually guiding all attendees through one of the most breathtaking and well-preserved countrysides in all the world.

Project Goals

The Ask: Come up with a creative way to engage consumers and support a local restaurant.

The Answer: Run a digital campaign highlighting a virtual “Tour of Tuscany” for a chance to win a gift card to Tuscan Kitchen.

Process

StonehamBank identified the author and restaurant they wanted to support and coordinated the logistics of the overall event. Based on past pop-up events and campaign performance history, we knew this event would be best promoted exclusively on social media.
We leveraged Facebook and Instagram, using both feed and story placement, to ensure maximum reach and exposure.

Results

The campaign ran for only two weeks, from the end of January to the beginning of February. In that time, StonehamBank had over 70,000 impressions, 1,200 ad clicks, and 673 visits to the landing page. An eblast to their existing customers resulted in an open rate of 25% and a CTR of 3.5%. StonehamBank received 155 total RSVPs, with over 90 actual attendees.
